How it Works
Step 1: First Phase of Floor Prep
The surface is cleaned and etched to maximize the bond potential the surface. The surface is then pre-treated just before resin application to remove any lingering oils or dust.
Step 2: First Application of Resin
The first application of the resin (and flake, if desired) is applied. Depending on the chosen design or type of resin, it may take 4-12 hours for this first application to cure depending on the type of resin you choose.
Step 3: Post Resin Floor Prep
After the first application has cured, the surface is then prepped again for the clear coat. For those with various types of flake application, this could include scraping the top layer if a smooth surface is desired.
Step 4: Clear Coat Application
This last step may actually be completed multiple times depending on what is chosen. The final application will then take another 4-12 hours to cure. It is recommended that you refrain walking on the surface for 24 hrs and refrain from parking vehicles on the surface for at least 48 hours post application.
Deviations from these steps are to be expected related to differing designs.
